Over Christmas my family and I took a trip up north to see family and to take a quick couple of days to visit San Francisco. When we arrived in the city we drove straight through, across the bridge, and into the Marin Headlands for a gorgeous, sweeping view of the San Francisco skyline and the beautiful Northern California coast.
We spent most of our first day in the Sausalito area, stopping into the Muir Woods National Forest to breathe in the fresh woodsy air and walk amongst a couple redwoods. This is a truly gorgeous speck of the state and I'm so glad to have stumbled upon it.
Nothing to make you feel insignificant than a majestically ancient redwood.
This place was a little bit like a fairy-tale. One of the things I love most about it is the fact that it was literally 20 minutes outside of the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. I find this mingling of urbanity and nature completely beautiful.
Let's all explore more nature this year!
